I was able to get my Piko Mogul converted to RC/Battery today. Added all the ebay cars I have purchased recently and had some fun on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon.

Nice Job Bob. I spent yesterday doing my first battery & sound conversion on a LGB Mogul. I wasn’t as fortunate to be able to run as you, since I discovered I need a 4 pin connector I don’t have. (to go between tender and loco) Glad you got to have some fun running. I vote for a longer video too!
Thanks Guys! Piko makes the conversion super easy, although stuffing everything into the tender proved to be a challenge, so I am still using a trailing car. This is not a big railroad, just around the patio. I built it for my grand kids, but I do have an expansion plan that would add about another 70-80 feet of track. I have not submitted the plan to the office of Finance and Budget yet…may have to wait until the spring until I can get the commissioner (wife) to sign off on it. Until then, this will do. Ill try to post a longer video next weekend.
