Maybe he lives next door to this hotel:

That’s not hard to believe. I’ve seen it happen to a Bachmann Trolly that someone had left sitting in the box out in the sun. Turned the inside of the box into an oven.
Maybe Rick needs another to toss at the bottom of his ravine…
maybe the guy thought, they were live steamers and did start firing them…
Really Really Evil Evil Bay! Course you could buy em, file negative feedback on em,and then file a dispute on him, and get everything back + return shipping even if you as the seller paid shipping and ins. to him. Even as the buyer, you tell Evil Bay you want nothing back and no remedies, on something the seller had no knowledge of , Evil will back You, and you could still come out ahead on the deal!! 5000 complaints on the bay in BBB, and threads all over the place on how sellers are ripped off by buyers as “Evil Bay” always sticks up for the buyer no matter what! Just ask me, I was ripped as a buyer last December, they didn’t stick up for me, and now again as a seller this year. I can’t win, I think it’s a spiracy call in Jessie Ventura!! Regal

The story was bad enough, but the price he got was redickerous. Al has 10 wheelers brand new for +/- $75.00.
Go figure…

That’s why it’s “Evil Bay” you never know what you are going to get, as a buyer or a seller!! It’s a luck of the draw kind of thingy!! Regal

If I’m going to bid on something on ebay, I first check the price from the big boys (including their shipping cost) then I bid about 10% lower (also including shipping costs), that’s it, that’s my max bid. If I don’t win the bidding I order the item from Ill. or N.Y. the next day.

I have to call BS on this, I buy and sell on eBay all the time, I don’t try to deceive anyone with full disclosure and have never been burnt on an item as I ask questions and read the descriptions. The most important part selling and buying is know your prices. Its a great recourse, use it wisely!
Enough ebay bashing, eh?
My original posting was not to ‘bash’ eBay, but was why someone would list both items in the first instance. I suppose every cloud has a silver lining!!! Then, in retrospect, a few years ago, a shorty LGB 2-4-0 locomotive, severely burned and deformed in a hobby shop fire, did sell for around $1000!!!
I’m gonna start melting all my junk and sell it on e-bay.

Oh yeah and go ahead and bash em they deserve it! No Really!!
Oh Yeah, and whatz that saying “one man’s junk is another man’s treasure!!”
