Large Scale Central

Summer Shots

Finally had the opertunity to run some trains. I figured I throw in some early summer shots. I did a few improvements to the RR. I redid my dry stream bed. I added some rocks to the side to keep the dirt from washing in. I also added another small mountain . I had a little too much light for pictures but cant complain since we have not had much sun in the last 2 months.

Shawn, that’s a v. fine little world you have going there.

Beautiful.

Nice , very nice! Jerry

That sure is a dandy lil’ logging line you’ve got there. Very nice!

I see all that rain has gone to good use…your layout looks good, for only being a year old…

It looks fantastic for only being a year old.
I’ll be tickled when my RR looks that nice.

Shawn,

Your RR is only a year old? That is amazing.

BZ!

Green is definetly the color these days. I think the back woods theme of a logging railroad lends itself well to a garden railroad. Shawn you’ve caught the scheme things really well. See, so now its built and any changes you make are additions, expansion, alterations or improvements… And as to how fast you get them done? Well, that’s totally up to you. But you’ve got to remember, its a hobby so completion is not a goal you want to achieve.

Thanks again. For being only a year old I cant complain. I am happy with the way it turned out especially for someone with no backround or skills. LOL I finally met a few great guys in my area who run trains (operations). I had the oppertunity to try out my first ops session today. What a blast it was. I have some great ideas for possible ops on my RR. The group I met uses the aristo train engineer. What a great system with the hand held. Thats going to be my next purchase.
As soon as I get my pics downloaded I will post some.

I'll second, third and fourth that :D I've been building on and off for well over 5 years. There's only one or two spots that look as finished as yours.

Great job !

Nifty layout with logging and scenery to go along with that theme.

Cheers, TOF in Lost Wages

Really nice work, Shawn! Your layout has a lot of charm and personality.
