Large Scale Central

Summer Run

Looks like fun Ken,

Wish we could do some running now but we are butt deep in Madrone leaves and will be for another couple weeks.(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cry.gif)

Looks great Ken. You have the right solution for the pine debris. Ignore it and it all works together!

I usually hit it with the leaf blower to clean out the switches and get the bigger pieces of timber out of the way.

Gay …you need to grow some balls and model Amtrak

What the hell is an amtrak???(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Well, I suspect that if we REALLY modeled Amtrak, we would need to have much rougher track and take much longer for an operations session. You would not be allowed to clear the track until the ops session started.

Forth of July weekend from Sean McGillicuddy on Vimeo.

I have been hosting friends and family these last weekends . The train are a request so I have obliged

After running some trains I noticed my Hudson's lights were not on . I brought her down the street to my Buddy Dan's ,After checking and resetting DDC setting we opened her up ..A wire has come loose ..quick fix and Dan Pierce had my baby running great again.

Perfect for KOPS !

See you there !

Beats me…

I did manage to get this run in this morning before the sky opened up.

I see you figured out the problem

It needed a new battery. The old one was about 15 years old and wouldn’t hold a charge anymore.

Ric already told you that but you have a listening issue like me !

If you want a new leaf blower I just purchased the Ego 650, it top air speed is 180 mph. You can not only blow leaves it will completely remove the track and everything else on the railroad if you don’t run it at its slower speeds. Other then that, I love it, it’s a rebuilding tool if you want to change your layout to a different design. https://www.homedepot.com/p/EGO-180-MPH-650-CFM-56V-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-Electric-Variable-Speed-Blower-5-0-Ah-Battery-and-Charger-Included-LB6504/311783592?mtc=Shopping-B-F_D28I-B-D28I-28_32_PORTABLE-MULTI-NA-Feed-PLA-NA-NA-BASE_SHP&cm_mmc=Shopping-B-F_D28I-B-D28I-28_32_PORTABLE-MULTI-NA-Feed-PLA-NA-NA-BASE_SHP-71700000036990215-58700004785586057-92700045004243201&msclkid=1a737c3d037f19e39db423732ec766c0&gclid=CKGWxs3qx-sCFQyVxQId80wLgQ&gclsrc=ds

If you can control the speed, you might have a new source of rail propulsion.

We had one of those Snoopy Fan motor, Flying Dog Houses. Took it to a train show with the club layout. Pretty well tore it up over one weekend with it getting launched on the curves and trying to catch it. Old men can’t catch worth a damn. Lots of fun, worth every penny. Wife probably doesn’t agree with that, but it was a great memory. Right now I can’t even remember where that thing ended up. It was kind of one of those “hold my beer” moments . but no alcohol was involved. Bunch of old men reliving their childhood.
