Mornin’, all. Can anybody tell me what issues of GR magazine have the articles on building the box-car from styrene?

It was a three part series: August 2007 was part 1, Part 2 is in the October 2007 GR, and Part 3 in December 2007. I am assuming this is the boxcar you’re interested in, as there could have been another series, I guess:
Klambake will be happy to sell you Bruce’s article in a PDF from their Information Station. It was advertised in the last GR email.
I downloaded some of their freebie PDF’s and was very disappointed in the quality/resolution of the photos. I wrote to them complaining and was told that the fee-based PDF’s use much higher resolution photos. I’ll believe that when I see it.
And, as a note, I don’t get any extra money for the download. 
I haven’t seen the quality, but I would assume it would be the same as the magazine; I could be wrong.

Thassit, Bruce - many thanks!!! I don’t need to call Klambake about anything, as I actually have GR magazines back to 1997. Unfortunately my BIL has them all right now, on loan, and he is too tied up with family business to dig them out of the grarj. Seems that I’ll have to locate some of this wonderful Evergreen pre-scribed siding mentioned in the text, i seem to recall. Never seen anything like it here, except in H0 scale. Costed it up to build it, since I have located the ‘planked’ siding…
It would cost me, in components, just over $140 to build this car, plus trucks.
What a shame we don’t have a TAP Plastics over here…
