The crew finished the sand house, and are moving on to build a smitty’s shop.
Nice. Very nice.
Neat. Great work!
That gives me some ideas. What’s the sanding container made from? (I’m sure there’s a technical term for that…)
Looks like a couple pieces of schedule 40 PVC?
Watch out, Bruce has ideas. When that happens, we’ll have another project from him in short order.
Nice work! Looks real good next to your water tower.
I like that flashing along the edge of the roof. Gives it a real finished appearance.
Bob McCown said:Yup. Gotta get it painted, now. I shoulda used copper, but I wasn't thinking when I bought the pvc.

Brass rod for the sand pipes.
Very nice. It just needs a few guys hanging around, not working, to complete it.

John,
Your engine service area is really looking great!

Richard,
I have always admired your buildings.
Your town and rr, neatly painted, well detailed.
Your scratch built buildings is what gave me the kick in the butt to build my own!
Mine is a backwoods lumbering type. Using the available lumber, cedar and redwood, to construct their facilities…Oh crap, now I gotta build a sawmill!!
They haven’t even heard of paint, just splash on some oily stain.
However, I heard a rumor that the new station/hotel/restaurant will have some fancy paint on it…
