Stretched bachmann log cars

Terry, it would be nice to know if they are still around. A Bing search didn’t turn them up for me.

On the thread I read on another site, the gentleman made masters off the Bachmann car itself, and then cast the extension parts from that. Maybe he also started up Nonesuch, I dunno.

Of course, we could draw up the parts and just have Mark print them out for us, but then the parts would need to be painted to match the car. Or the whole car would need a repaint once the part was installed.

How long is the extension. I could make these up in a weekend. I have bout 6 I need to do myself.

Thanks Ty

Very nicely done, Terry… The string looks good behind the “cab forward” Davenport…

I have two Davenports that I’ve run forever. Removed 2/3’s of the weight in each and doubleheaded them. They’re great little locomotives…

Again, super job, Terry…

I would guess that Nonesuch Car & Foundry are probably defunct. Using Google, not Bing (https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/e/gtalk.347), revealed the linked information.

I spoke to Mike last year and he was not sure if he was going to do more parts. I was looking for his Logs. His number still works but only get answering machine.

Thanks for the compliments. The little davenport has battery, RC and sound installed in it too.

The davenport is always at the top of the grade for safety because the log cars don’t have air brakes.

Terry

Hey Terry,

What is the overall length of the extended Bachmann Log cars.

Thanks Ty
