Storing pdf files in freight sheds

Help.

I have a problem with the FTP upload at my RCS website that cannot be fixed for a little while.

I have a new product ready for release but must have the instructions available in pdf format on my website before I can do so.
I have solved pic storage by utilising Photo Bucket for images for now. I cannot store pdf files there.

What I need to do immediately is store two pdf files somewhere so I can reference them easily.

Is it possible to store 1 mb pdf files in the freight sheds?

If that is possible, how do I go about doing so?

Then how do I go about accessing them to get the URL?

I am a real dummy when it comes to this stuff.

actually it works just like storing photos. Use the upload feature, select your file and upload. To access right click on the file and copy the link location. I stored several this weekend considerably larger than 1meg, just don’t exceed your space limit. Here is an example

You should be able to click on the link and view the file.

Thanks Gary.

Problem is I have no idea how to store photos either.
Is there a tutorial somewhere please?

Hey Tony,

I can’t help either with up-loading photos - tried but failed many times BUT I am sure that John Blakely will be able to help as he is into this sort of thing…maybe a trade off for some of the work you are doing for him.

I can’t wait for your new product announcement - your 'phone will run HOT when the word gets around.

Best of luck - Nelson

CLick on the FREIGHTSHEDS tab…that brings up a new window with he freight shed in it…

Next Click on the light blue button UPLOAD FILES at the top, this will bring you to a screen that says FILE 1 and a BROWSE button that 1 through 7…

Click on the BROWSE button next to File 1 and that will bring up a window where you can select the file from where it is stored on your computer…click on the appropriate file…and hit the OPEN button. You should see the file name next to File1 …repeat as necessary to upload more than one file…

Down below you will see a box that says DESTINATION and below that is a VERY light Grey button that says UPLOAD…click on UPLOAD

That will bring up a dialog that says FILES UPLOADED and BROWSE…now close the freight shed window…

To access the file once again click the FREIGHT SHED tab…

That will bring up a window with a menu on it that should have the file you just uploaded showing on it…

IF you hold your cursor over the file, a preview will pop up…you CANNOT copy or paste this…to access the URL you actually have to open the file…then either using a right click or copy and paste in the address bar gets you the URL to paste where needed/desired…

Thanks Peter.

It is only two files and I ony need them until my FTP uploader is fixed.

Thanks Bart.

It will have to wait a day or so as this computer has to have some adware BS removed first.

Don’t forget to rename the pics on your computer with something simple before you upload. No -"=)( etc.

For example: caboose1, caboose2, etc.

Thanks again Bart.
Those step by step instructions worked a treat.

Kewlness! Its really that easy folks!
