Stopping Drive Gear Lateral Slip

Aloha,

I recently replaced the drive gears on the axles of a STAINZ motor block. This is a newer block, with press on wheels and access to the internals via top and bottom plates. One if the drive gears has a tendency to “walk” itself out of alignment with the worm gear after 10-20 minutes. Should I just put a drop of CA glue on to hold the thing in place? Or should I just wait and buy a new set of wheels, gear and all, the next time I make a strategic parts order?

Thanks,

Eric

I hear that cleaning the grease/dirt from the area and gluing with J B Weld works well, but I have no experience in doing this, but if it were mine this is what I would try first.
