Marty is having his open house again the last weekend of Sept. He put in a new waist high steam track with 20’ curves and a turntable and yard. You can also run R/C steam on the big 3000’ layout that is full of high bridges and many photo-ops. You can also run battery power. More steamers seem to come every year. Yukio is even coming from Japan! He just ordered a new steamer he is having delivered to my house and I will meet him at Marty’s with it.
Jerry,
Could ya’ swing by and pick me up along with a a few others. Bring the Buick please…I have the Rat Pack on CD?
I got Yukio’s new steamer yesterday, UPS brought a 3’ long box. Yukio says he’ll have to take out the locomotive and tender, since the box would be too big for the plane ride back. He’s bringing an alcohol fired Jane, Larry Hergert will give him some alcohol, I was bringing my steam stuff also. Rooms are available at the Best Western in Nebraska City, was all booked up.
Any of you coming to this? 23-25 Sept in Nebraska City, NE. Marty says the place is ready. Stan is always there. Great fun!
I’d sure like to go, but it’s just too long of a drive - about 1,200 miles each way. Maybe one of these days.
