Steam tractor and neat cut-away

These are from a place up in the Bangor, PA area. There was also a lot of steam and “hit and miss” engines on display.

I thought the cut away was pretty kewl and the steering mechanism on the tractor was unique.

nice, thank you. I’ve not been to Bangor. The Case is a post-1911 as it has the rolled steel stack. I’m guessing at a 65HP? My late uncle had a 1911 36HP. My aunt still has it, but it hasn’t been run in a decade.

The cut-a-way is pretty cool. I wish more of the RR museums would have a similar cut-a-way.

There is an excellent one at Steamtown in Scranton PA. Painted in different colors to represent presence of fire, water, steam, steam exhaust and smoke.

That’s the one Ray. Makes it very easy to understand how things low within the engine.
