So last summer I was driving through the city of San Pedro Sula, Honduras when I spotted a shop built steam donkey powered pile driver along the side of the highway on a long abandoned siding. Several narrow gauge flatcars were also scattered down the siding about a half mile farther up. Thought yall would like to have a look. I plan to build a version of this later this year. Hope to return to see it later on and get a few measurements to go with it. Looks to be an AH&D donkey circa 1899 or so.
Aaron, great find.
It looks AH&D but hard to be certain as some of the side views are a little dark(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-frown.gif)
Any ID cast into the cylinders or valve chests?
Rick
Now you did it Aaron!
You done woke up the old guys!
Neat find though!
Hey that is GREAT ! . . . . But . . . . why didn’t you just bring it all home and install it in your back yard . . . ? (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
I wonder how many people pass that everyday and say something like “when are they going to get that piece of junk out of here”?
Meanwhile we are all salivating over it.

Great find. My question is, What we’re you doing down in Honduras to begin with? Our church always has medical teams going down to help the locals, after this I might have to start going with them.
That’s awesome!

I actually live here now (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-smile.gif)I am a missionary in a place called Yoro, its about 3 hours up into the mountain from San Pedro Sula. Their I do ministry with a local pastor and we work in a few villages, as well as building up his church in Yoro. If you find yourself down this way, I do know where a few railroad relics are about (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)
That’s a cool treasure.
