Large Scale Central

Station underway

And he’s placing individual stones.

Outstanding !!!

Only because you told me how easy scratch building is if you just do it one stone at a time

It’s been almost 2 month’s so I feel an update is in order??

Finishing up the base at this point. No rush, as I can’t do any planting until the summer thall season is over.

I thought you were going to bring it to the show. I think my half is worthy of showing off :D You have three weeks to finish the base and put a clock in the clock tower ;) Ralph

Ralph has your number buddy!
He’s ON IT!!!

Thanks Ralph!

Backside? I think you have it labeled “streetside”. Whatever side you call it, looks pretty good to me. Ralph

Nice stonework!

Ray, from the quality you put out I appreciate that. I’m still working on your method, just having problems in the stones not being as uniform as your cuts and getting a lot of mortar showing. These were done with exterior grout put in the opening to fill about halfway then the stones were individually placed.

To updatewhere I am

I put this much together for pics now SWMBO wants her counter back. The base is almost ready, but if I take it to the show I need to make a carrier to move it

You did make 2 didn’t you?..

What 2 carriers Ken? I’m still designing the first one
Besides it seems to me you just put up a right nice station yourself, that fit right in tha new track area.I think that area is umm…er…umm…ah Pool Valley.

David, Beautiful looking station…

Not much since I built it and Ralph claimed half. Ken wants the second one. But, to get on to the base.

Summer starts at the end of the month for you, Goaded One :D Ralph

Are those pillars for the roof or light stands?

What material are you using for the base? From the photo’s it appears to be Styrofoam.
