Large Scale Central

Starr-Tec Hogger

Can anyone point me to a wiring diagram or a schematic…MW100??

Ivan

Had a couple of these many moon ago. Not worth the scrap metal in them. I believe the MW40 model was a little weaker but that was a long time ago. Memory just isn’t that good.

You will surely will need schematics if you are really going to use the piece of junk.

Just my humble opinion for what it’s worth.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the response Darryl…I know that the Hogger isn’t the greatest; but I have a lousy, screwed-up gene inside me that says that I have to get it running correctly B4 put it on the shelf…I am very close to fixing it…I was hoping to find out how Starr-Tec wired their hand controller…what wire went where inside the power pack…there are only 4 wires…one has to be power into the hand controller…the second a return…a third to flip the reversing relay and the 4th to vary the speed…but my dilemna is to figure out which wire was supposed to go where…I was attempting to locate someone out there who has already done this (sketch out the schematic) so that I would not have to reinvent the wheel…regards, ivan z.

Unless someone else can help you before I can call a friend in the morning, I’ll ask if anything is in the original box. I believe he has two of those terrible-tec’s still in the box that he never used.

Cheers, TOF

many thanks…ivan z.

Ivan

I’ll see what he has on Monday morning as he is out for the weekend.

Thanks Darryl…I will be glad to provide a new home for a couple of old Hoggers your friend may have…I am willing to pay you guys whatever you feel would be reasonable for the power packs & time & bother you are going thru for me…thanks…ivan z.

Ivan

Lee will sell the two them and he has used them in the past so they are not new but in working condition. Also he has the boxes for those and they have a picture of wiring on the ends.

Send me an email and I’ll give you his phone number.

Please send me Lee’s phone number & I’ll take it from there…thanks…i.z.

For Darryl Noble:
greetings: Its been a month, Noone was able to provide me with a working Schematis of either the Starr Tec Hogger or the MRC Control Master 20…All I really got was that the Hogger was “bad news”…so I’ve kinda backed off…if I knew how to delete the entire post I started on this subject, I would gladly do so to save the space in the Forum…Maybe you can tell me how…

I did try to contact Lee by phone last weekend, but got a “nobody home” respopnse. I backed off the entire project…thanks for bearing with me…regards, ivan z.

Ivan

I did email you his phone number again and mentioned his telephone problem so give him a call as he is selling all of his train stuff including the Hoggers. Someone is going to get them and they are in good working condition.
