Spyware, Malware etc, supposedly from me

Anybody who thinks I masy have been trying to infect their PC by sending them an e-mail with hyper amounts of nasty stuff, please be advised that it is NOT from me.

I’ve been away since last thursday - away from the internet - and in any case, my spyware stuff - Macafee - tells me that I am 100% covered and clean.

To ensure that you do not open sh!te that appears to come from me, I will include a word in the title that is familiar to most of you with whom I am usually in contact via e-mail.

Ken and Fred will get the first such e-mail right now.

Uh, OK.

Rats, now I have to go look at my email.

That Macafee… Never trust a Scot…

Yup, I got one too. 6:56 this am. no subject.

straight to the trash can.

Thanks for the heads up, tac.

Thanx, tac, I got one earlier but my Norton caught it. Besides that, it didn’t look like your usual stuff, so used a bit of caution and kinda figgered ya got hijacked…;).

Thanks for the time it went out, Steve. Quite a few of my regular contacts on the West coast got it at this time.

Which is all the more interesting as my PC was not actually plugged in until 7.58pm BST.

It is ALWAYS unplugged when we are out of the house - even for an hour.

With my restricted bandwidth I am VERY cautious about sending out ANY kind of attachment. So I’ll usually advise any proespective recipient in advance - anyhow, what could I possibly send any of YOU guys that you’d want to see?

Well certainly not a pic of ig first thing in the morning before he’s had his shower and cleaned up for the day.

That, Sir, is NOT wrong. 'sides, he’s a mite self-conscious about his Fonzy Bear jim-jams, him.

Some months ago, Lewis Polk’s account was compromised and many received emails purporting to be from him. Genuine or not, I now delete any email I receive from his account. Pity, as they are most likely genuine.

I make it a point to never compile an address book.

Actually, Lewis signed up for LinkedIn, and clearly missed the part where it defaults to send invites to everyone in your address book… many people got an invite from him, including myself, but you could tell that it was people he had emailed personally.
