Supposed too be a nice weekend and hoping to inspect the line. Most of the snow is gone for me as well.
Rain here. I will be working on models and maybe putting a MU plug on my USA SD70 and round up the parts for a Batt car for it. See if I can convert one Loco from Track to batt power. Cant wait to get back home so Ican work on the track.
David Russell said:That sounds like a plan for here too. Need to be careful in New England though, this is Mud Season. The ground 6 inches down is still frozen and the topsoil is saturated. I don't dare step off the walkways :D

Our witch hazel tree has bloomed and the temps are supposed to be around, or a bit above normal this weekend. I think it will be July before the piles of snow melt though.
Temps in the high40s to low 50s this weekend. Time to work on the layout, and wouldn’t you know, SW(ThinksShe)MBO has a honey dew list. Guess I’ll start my day at the work shop getting my track tools together.
22 degrees here at 7:00am. Where did Spring go?
We’ll have a 35 or 40 degree temperature swing today.
Ralph
Although temperatures are still in the 30’s and 40’s Fahrenheit frogs have been spawning here for over a month now and the roadsides and gardens are full of open daffodils and other spring bulbs. Spring is sure close.
Had 30 degrees at 7am and it’s 56 now nice day and no wind and getting lots done for an opn house tomorrow. Later RJD
Guy that does my web site lives in Nova Scotia, he said it’s been a warm winter up there and they are a month or two ahead of the usual temps. Opposite here in Nebraska!
Bob McCown said:Awful muddy as Jon stated but spotted the same here as well. I'm sooo ready for plants. Before ya' know it we'll be bitchin' about weeds!!!
Some bulbs have started to poke out of the ground already. Sure sign of spring here!
Was dang near 60 here yesterday… Spent some time in the afternoon, on the tractor, re-rocking the driveway, where the dirt was showing through…
Wonderful day to be riding the tractor…
Andy seeems to be spending a lot of time reintroducing himself to mother nature and the earth around him. This is all good.
My outdoor thermometer hit 62 degrees yesterday, after starting the morning at 22 degrees.
Started at 24 degrees this morning at 7:00am. By 8:00am it was 31 degrees.
Might get a little more painting done today. Hopefully work on the track a little too.
Ralph
Hit 60 here in Ste Genevieve, MO yesterday so Addie and I worked on building our new railroad. Then we ran some trains hauling some of her passengers. Fun time for both Dad and Daughter while the bison looked on. I love living in the country.
Out where the buffalo roam is good for body and soul. Pictures to prove beefalo are close would be nice.
Andy good to hear you’re still doing, hope you’re keeping it easy for a bit.
We’re just getting to the 50’s

The railroad plan is starting in front of the sun room and working its way in front of the house to the otherside of the house were it will enter the basement in the future. Right now track and money only let me go over half way.
Did a quick track inspection yesterday. Mud not too bad.
Like Kevin, the new siding, my first ladder roadbed, had risen about two inches. Simple solution, place a board on the track and step lightly. It all pushed back into place where hopefully it will stay.
I used 2x2 supports driven down about 18 inches. The ones spot where I used a round aluminum pipe didn’t budge.
Hey Todd, nice to hear from ya… Glad you got another railroad started after the move…
Funny lookin cows…

Glad to see your back up and running or riding. Yeah don’t try and milk one. But they sure are tasty.
