Large Scale Central

Spartanburg, SC. Depot

Wandered over to Spartanburg, SC. Sunday. Spartanburg is a pretty decent railfan city, as both CSX and Norfolk Southern run through the city. Sunday is usually pretty slow for train action. Ralph The depot is on a NS line. Amtrack still stops here.

Across the tracks is this house. Moved from its original location to make way for developers. Now in the “hood”, this historical landmark is just left to rot.

No action on the NS line so I headed over to a small CSX yard that used to be part of the old Clinchfield RR. Crews are changed out here.

Here is a GP 38 set up for RC. No RC in this small yard, so the GP is destined for somewhere else.

Now that is my kind of house…it actually looks in decent shape. The chimneys have been torn down some but the roof’s look in good condition.

Cool house!

Kewl pix!
