Hi all, haven’t posted much lately but wanted to share my latest build, it’s based on a homemade engine built for the Southern San Luis Valley RR, often called the loneliest railway in America. The D500 was actually the second version of a homemade engine built on second hand tender chassis. This had chain drive and helped keep the line open long after it otherwise would lasted. It’s 0.40 sheet styrene over a basswod platform with 2 Aristo Centercab drive bricks. The engine still exists near where it ran for 40 years in Blanca, Co.

Update, painted, lettered, finished, just needs a wicked amount of weathering. The cab interior is freelanced as no real photo of it when it was operational appears to exist.
