Very nice.
Excellent. I’m glad to see someone chased it since I didn’t

I half thought I’d run into you, Ralph. Of course if you’d been on West Market St, I might have ACTUALLY run into you … I think they’ve turned up the speed limit on the K line since the last time I tried to pace a train there…

Warning. May cause motion sickness.

Here’s the whole shooting match:

Be kind; I’m new at this … and yeah, I know, particularly the pacing shots are shaky. Today I had a handheld camera that happens to shoot video, and an Android Phone … next time, maybe we’ll go for something a little more hi-tech like duct taping a camera to the outside mirror …

It’s hard to hold a camera that’s smaller than a pack of Smokes still. Works great for photos, but leaves a lot to be desired for video. A real video camera is on my ever growing wish listRalph
That’s about what I was using too. A couple of years ago I got Caroline a Canon PowerShot (ELPH) and it takes really good photos (and, as it turns out good video too…) but it’s tiny by design, and just about as tough as holding my Android phone. In the series of five videos that ended up being posted, the best ones are done on the Canon just set up and aimed sitting on the back of my truck … the thrid one is the Android held out the window, and you can see the difference. The large quantities of coffee required to get out at all this morning probably didn’t help matters! The biggest video camera I have (barring the monster VHS rig given to me in the 90’s …) is small enough to ride on the back of the tender of my K-27… but I may be able to come up with some kind of mount to let me secure it to the window on the truck or something. Or, next time you can come along and run the camera while I drive … might be a better answer all around! Matthew (OV) Oh, PS … here’s another still of the consist coming up to the throat of the WS yard.
