A few years ago I bought used Bachmann 2-truck Shay from a friend of friends son. The engine looked brand new when I bought it and it has been on the shelf in my train shed gathering dust. I’m finally getting around to installing a RailPro module in and as I was looking inside the oil bunker !
I discovered this Sierra board and a small rechargeable battery. My question is did this board power the engine as well? It’s a Rev B dated 1997.

I appreciate any help you can give.

I’m pretty sure that isn’t a decoder - looks like a regular Soundtraxx Sierra sound card.
