Sound for tiny Porters?

Are there any sound systems that will fit into an LGB Porter?

I place the toytrain tender behind my porter and these have plenty of room for adding sound. They do come with a speaker.

You might try the Phoenix. They have one specifically for the Porter. How you might squeeze it in there is anybody’s guess.

some guys on MLS like and recommend this simple sound card

…everything is ran from a 9v source and the bell and whistle are tripped by magnets…I have considered for some of my not so important projects…they sell for about $80…and appear to be Very small…

there is also a recent post on MLS showing the sound card installed in an Big Hauler tender…tiny card for sure!

let us know what works out for you!

I like the 33Ton Switcher-it would work in my 45ton Bachmann…and the whistle on the Huckleberry has a Great sound, I may put that one in my Rogers one day!

I have two of the small scale railway board. They sound good to me. They measure just over a 1/2"x3 3/4"x1/2" not including the battery or your choice of speaker. Although the bell and whistle can be triggered together, they also randomly trigger depending on your speed. Imho the whistle rivals Pheonix but the board in monophonic like Dallee… Only one sound at a time. The chuff or rev is triggered by switch( reed, contact, or optical) so you should figure out how you plan to trigger it before you buy. A sound car or tender would be your best bet or send it to me and I’ll install it.
