Large Scale Central

Somebody Stop Me!

As a project is just about done that took me 3 years, I irresponsibly went out and purchased a new project. This one is (drum roll please) a Central Railroad of New Jersey Boxcab!
Check out how many flat pieces there are, and a whole booklet of instructions.

What have I done, oh, what have I done?

Lou, that looks fun and very unique. Who made the kit?

I guess you have your winter project!

This Alan’s kit? I’ve been wanting to grab one of them myself.

Then it’ll be a spectacular model.
Echoing Hollywood…

What really concerns me is how Lou knows this stuff?

I hope you bought a lot of Tichy rivets. . .

I just know Lou is going to start posting build photos of this and I’m going to end up ordering the 1:20 version. Been wanting one for a while now.

(searches for his credit card…)

Make sure you spend the extra $40 and get the radiator and pair of smokestacks !

Yah, Roos, I will need that.
I thought they were out of business.

Where can I get those top details?

Bottom of the page, on the link quoted by Bob:

But there is no mention of how to order from them and the webpage is over 10 years old.

Found on their home page Lou

Well, I tried email. Will let you know how I make out.

I emailed about a project i might need styrene cut for and have yet to receive a response. i think it has been a week.

Alan Friedland (Mr. G.A.L.) was around and kicking last time I called him. He’s had a few medical issues which might be slowing him down, but I believe he’s still in operation. His email works, usually.

If you don’t get a response to your email in a couple of days, let me know and I’ll give him a call.
