Some pleasant surprises

Our 25th anniversary was December 3rd, but Cris was very sick at that time and undergoing ECT treatments which affected her memory. Recently I mentioned something about it, and she was distressed that she had no memory of such a special occasion. So today we “re-celebrated” our anniversary. Nothing too fancy, just got dressed up and had a nice dinner together at our favorite restaurant (Chili’s).

Surprise #1: Cris had her hair done up in ringlets. This was about on par with the Pope turning Lutheran. She’s had the same simple, straight hairstyle as long as I’ve known her. (Not that I’m complaining.) In fact she said the last time she did anything fancy with her hair was for the Prom.

Surprise #2: The management at Chili’s didn’t charge us for our dinner! That was really unexpected, and very kind of them.

All in all, it was a most memorable occasion.

Ray,

Congrats on the anniversary. Life is full of surprizes. Isn’t it great many of them are good?

Happy Anniversary, and glad she’s doing better.

(Remember the Flintstones anniversary when they were trying to sneak the piano in, and the cops thought they were robbing the house?)

Ray, congrats… Glad it was a memorable one for you both…

Congrads Ray. May you have many many more.

happy anniversary ray, and good luck

Happy Anniversary - and many more.

Steve

Your story brought back a fond memory, Ray.

I took my Mom out while working in NYC a few years back. She was about 90 then, and wanted to see the neighbourhood where she grew up.

We stopped for a Guinness at a pub afterwards, and Mom was chatting away about her childhood while we drank the brew. Suddenly, two more pints appeared on the table, courtesy of the house!

Mom was recovering from eye surgery, so she was going to need my help to navigate anyway, but it was really interesting getting her back home!

Our regards to you and Cris. Ringlets rock!

Happy Anniversary, Ray, and many more!

Congrats Ray
