My wife periodically gets really interested in doing some work on the railway. This year she made a skating rink and warming hut with a fire pit She decorated some trees and strung mini lights on some building. I was in charge of making the lighting work, but otherwise was told in no uncertain terms to back off!
The warming hut has a flickering fire, using two sets of three flickering red, range and yellow leds

It’s really pretty cool. Most of the lights are LEDs, some in the buildings are malibu low voltage. She even made little wreaths for the buildings
