Large Scale Central

Some layout photos

Hi Matt, I’m think I’ve seen you talk about those bridge piers before, they look fantastic. Can you point me to something where you tell some details about them?

Hi Thomas.

The bridge piers were custom made for us many years ago by a company in Florida. They are made of high density foam. I’m not sure of the name of the company but I’ll check my files. I think we found them at one of the Big Train shows…back when it was at the Queen Mary. Unfortunately, I’m fairly certain they are no longer in business.

Took some more night photos this evening:

Matt, looks great! I love the close-up photos.

Fantastic!

Matt very nice! Q: how do you keep the bins from blowing away in the wind? Are they spiked down?

Looks mighty nice, Matt. I like your idea of using the inverted storage bins to protect your buildings.

Thanks for the nice comments all (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

Nope no spikes. Just inverted. The wind isn’t that bad here…at least under the trees. The tall ponderosa pines block a lot of wind from ever reaching ground level. So I’ve never had any troubles with the bins blowing around. In fact not much blows around other then the windmill (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Matt, your layout is one of my favorites. I always like looking at the pics they give me something to strive for. Thanks so much for sharing.
