So, Which Train Did You Bring to Work?

Hi All; A few weeks ago, a train friend told me that today, 11/18/11, is “Bring Your Train to Work” Day. I think it’s actually promoted through Model Railroader but not an official national day. Anyway, since I have large scale trains and a very small desk, I took this:

Your turn, David Meashey

Didn’t know about it. I’d go down to my car and get one, 'cept there’s a 40 mph wind blowing.

Nice job on the VW Dave … Nick

I like that VW but what kind of wagon is that behind it? Here is the traincar that I brought to work it just so happens to be an advertising car for my real life Real Estate company out here on lovely Cape Cod. We not only sell property on the ole “Rock Root and Dog Poop Railway” we also help the clients move their possesions.

Todd;

The vehicle behind the VW beetle is an old MDC Roundhouse speeder trailer. It actually has the motor (Athearn HO) and propels the little auto (although it looks like the bug is towing the trailer). I found some industrial motors at ECLSTS to give the trailer a load. The HO motor is only rated to 12v, but I tend to run this outfit on the slow side, so no problems there.

Best,
David Meashey

I have two Ngauge Japanese Shinkisen train models sitting on the bookcase at work. I picked them up in J-town a few years ago. So everyday is take a train to work day for me. :wink:

I brought them all! I set up a large layout too!

I work from home…

Same here, except at the moment almost all rolling stock is at the shop - in anticipation of getting the Indoor Staging finished.

Yup. A Hallmark GG1 (smaller than HO, but bigger than N) sits in a crystal display case at the head of my desk where it has been for for 3-4 years.

I would bring one to work but no one will see it but me…:frowning:

I would bring one too, but I don’t work!
