So what is in Boise?

Hi all,

We will be in the Boise, ID area for a few days and was wondering what are the must see railroad related sights to see? Are there any?

None that I know of. There is a small museum at the depot. There are no hobby shops that have any significant amount of large scale either.

Boise overview

Nature is a big part of Boise, Idaho. The snow-capped Rocky Mountains serve as a backdrop, the Boise River and its riverfront paths wind through the city and skiing is a short drive away. Boise’s varied museums include the Idaho History Museum, the Boise Art Museum, the Basque Museum and Cultural Center and the interactive Discovery Museum of Idaho. Unique attractions include Old Idaho Penitentiary and historic Pioneer Village. Old Boise offers shopping, dining, culture and nightlife.

Hey Rick, just drive North about 8 hours to Coeur d’Alene, it’s a much better location to spend sometime. Plus there are lots of LSC members up in this area to visit.

I will be visiting an old “Nam” buddy in Grangeville so it’s what, a couple hours up to Coeur d’Alene?

We are going to try to get up there and spend a couple of days and see the sights. if we can set up a visit shoot me an email.
