Does anyone out there have a template/instructions for fabricating a snowplow for a Bachman 38 Ton Shay (or any engine??) I hate to reinvent the wheel if it’s already been done. :0)
Ron, I don’t have a template but I remember someone posting instructions on how to use PVC pipe cut in half length wise and the open pieces glued together on an angle. Does anyone remember who or where to find that??? Nick Jr.
Nick, I did a search on Snowplows and saw someone mention that but the link to the picture was broken…
Ron
Why don’t you ask TOC about snowplows? I think he might know something about that subject.
Ah, The Old Curmedgeon…think I will…thanks…
Ah, yes. I was in a discussion on the GR forum, I think.

Aristo sells a plow for the -9 for about seven bucks, and also a replacement plow for the snowplow car. Perhaps these could be easily adapted?
They are listed under detail parts in their online catalog.

I have a couple of the Aristo plows, and they’re pretty narrow. I need to take a saw to one of them and see if I can widen it to something-like-1:20-width…
Or, select the appropriate diameter PVC and make one to fit your application…
