Snow ..?

Not in the Valley, but lots up on the mountain. Finally got skiing two days ago. Brilliant sunshine, super snow and on the way home

I pulled off the road and eight other cars right behind me. The layer of “valley cloud” looked like a gigantic lake. PS Got a bit of a suntan, too!

Wow and I thought that was a lake a first. Very cool. Did you you go downhill skiing or XC skiing? I like both but XC is my faverite. I got a few days of XC skiing in just before we lost all our snow the last few days.

Nice shot, HJ.
I see a “sea” of clouds frequently while coming down off the mountains.
Generally I’m working and don’t have a camera with me.

That is an incredible picture…would like to see that shot along side a shot of no Valley Cloud taken at the same spot.

Thank you Gentlemen,

Shall take another one in the same spot, as David wishes, when the weather plays along. Yep, XC skiing on “our mountain” is the cat’s meow!

Ditto to that thought!

HJ with shots like that are you trying to build the tourist trade or are you looking for new neighbos? Great photo. And I’m with the others on seeing the valley on a clear day

That’s a great shot HJ. Looked rather like an awful lot of snow more than a lake to me however. Like one or two other I await the view after the snow has gone,

Sometimes, around these parts when you are on high ground (for England) trees poke up through banks of cloud such as one sees in Chinese paintings.
