…and it isn’t from a live steam engine.
Two more large, pesty fires in the neighbourhood. Enough smoke in the air to make everything very hazy, I just hope it rains soon to clear some of the crap out of the air and wet down the tinder dry landscape!
The berry bushes on which the bears pig-out this time of year are as dry as the rest, as a result the bears move into the residental areas to dine on fruit fresh off the trees and anything else they can find.
It is so damn dry that even the rattlers move closer to the houses looking for a bit of cool and water.
One small consolation: so far the power has stayed on (thank God for air conditioning) and “Blaster” hasn’t mucked up anything.
I’ll be in the workshop aka garage (nice and cool), doing some modelling today.
