Hey, Bruce.
The photo in window of the sludge works building looks kind of familiar.
Could you post it with names and a date?
Thanks.
Sincerely,
Joe Satnik

No problem, Joe. I love that picture - and it just seemed perfect for that window.
Here’s the original

Left to Right: Bob McCown (in his longer hair days), Ken Brunt, Stu Moxley, and me.
It’s from the 2005 American Invasion. I don’t recall who took it, but there’s more here: http://ovgrs.editme.com/Invasion05

Paul,
It’s about 25" wide, 14" deep, and 15" high. I’ll make a cardboard box for it, if you like.
That would be great! I think this will end up on the back seat behind the driver like the box of six modern USA Trains tank cars did last year.
We have already booked our rooms at the Holiday Inn.
Box complete. It was much quicker to build.
Final dimensions: 25.5" wide x 14" deep x 15.5" high.
I got to see it all in place at the Invasion.
Fred has connected it to a water pump, so there’s a constant stream flowing out the back pipe.

We even made a delivery with our first train on Friday morning.

No water for you!
Just keep bubbling on!
Nice work!
Good to see the plant in action and earning its keep. (http://www.cosgan.de/images/smilie/haushalt/a055.gif)
i am sure, that your plant will be in financial problems. they work too efficient! (supposedly too expensive)
the water they let into the river looks actually clear!!!
“Looks clean”, but then; I wouldn’t drink it…!!
Will there be a sludge train in brown?
That is really neat. Guess we will have to see from your ideas, on building one to if you don’t mind. Guess needs a boiler and a bunch of tanks and some piping going everywhere.
Then tie it into the fish pond pump. lol.

That’s the beauty of this model - there’s no rules other than to just enjoy!
Thanks everybody for the nice comments.
I always though a “Sewage and Sludge Works” would be a great industry for a railroad to serve.
Years ago, a guy around here, in HO had his whole railroad built around that concept. So; I borrowed the idea from him.
As for getting around to developing the industry; I just never got around to it, until last Summer when Bruce and I got into talking about all sorts of things. This is the great thing about meeting all these great people, face to face…do it while you can…
I gave Bruce a clear plastic box that someone had given me; in case he could use it. He asked me if he could build something for my pike…EGADS…sure Bruce…I would be very much honoured…
And…that’s what happened.
Adding the Distillery, and bottled water plant to the Sewage and Sludge Works, is a natural. Besides we have the Brunt Malting and Brewing Company too…the pond helps, as a water feature, but otherwise is just another maintenance problem in this climate.
Bruce did a great job, and I’m very thankful for his friendship, and the model.
Nice addition to the pond area. Looks like it doesn’t have any leaks, but still an interesting industry. Great job.
The ‘unique water’ sign really turned out well.
