Sludge Works

Looking good Bruce!

Just remember Fred…payment in beer, not sludge.

I thought I had mastered the basic rules of plumbing: Hot is on the left, cold is on the right; crap flows down hill; and righty-tighty, lefty-loosey. Is there more?

Don’t bite your fingernails!

ESPECIALLY after working on the sludge pipes!

My next plumbing job, will have HOT on the left, COLD on the right, and Whine/bheer in the middle…the drain as usual will be on the bottom…

IPP&W announces the acquisition of a new Septic Car to facilitate the transfer of effluent from its numerous facilities to its new (under construction) Sludge Works. We are pleased to be able to provide similar service for our customers should they wish.

Could use that at least once every spring.

Stuart, do you make deliveries?

A very clever and entertaining project… Thanks for sharing this…

Steve thank you for your inquiry

However two issues would have to addressed prior to supplying you with RAW effluent.

The glonkulator requires a constant supply of material to operate efficiently; until we are in full operation we are uncertain regarding our ability to vary the operating rate and the amount of surplus material which we could make available to you. Secondly and perhaps more importantly there are the licensing issues which would have to be addressed with the Ministry of Environment. Please keep in touch. We hope to start up the new plant mid July 2014. I would expect it to be sometime in 2015 before we can address our capacity issues.

To address capacity issues; Brunts Malting and Brewing, will increase Brewing capacity by 50%

…problem solved…no need of any government paperwork, or assessments, wasting our time or money…

I am pretty sure that the management of the I P P & W will become quite affluent from the transport and processing of effluent

Good One!

…yes…good shot…I’m proud of you Jon…

If I were up there, I’d probably build a pipe to the pond…too hard to figure it out from here…

Bring up some 3/4 pvc, cement, and so e black paint to the Invasion. A quick 10 minute project.

Aha! A volunteer! Just what I needed.

I can see this becoming a major event for the Invasion. Brass band or at least one guy with a tuba and much pontificating with many toasts at the dedication ceremony. Flash bulbs (boy that’s dating things) going off day and night as the unit sucks up the first gulps of pond water and seperates the scum from the sludge. Wonder if there will be byproducts?

Now the construction work has been almost finalized, it seems, and delivery and installation is to be arranged for a later date. I do wonder, particularly as I will be totally reliant on newspaper and other media reports, what form exactly will the opening ceremony take? Is it to be a top hat and tails affair? Who will Fr. Fred invite to perform the cutting of the tape ceremony, or will he do it himself?

If there is any doubt or guidance needed then may I suggest a book by Gabriel Chevallier entitled Clochmerle. This describes the erection of a ‘pissoir’ in a French village in the Beaujolais region of France. The ramifications and pitfalls encountered would be helpful guidance to those organizing this great event. By the way will the local or national television stations be in attendance? After all a record is needed of this most auspicious occasion.

I’m just wondering how much “red tape” Bruce will encounter as he tries to smuggle that thing into Canada…

I was just planning on smuggling it up to York for the Drag and Brag. I’m hoping one of the Canadian Contingent of the Affluent Effluent will smuggle it the remaining distance.

Hmmmm! If one of our Canadian friends said he brought it down for the modeling contest, I’m sure they’d let him take it back. If not, I’m sure we could get it across the border in the trailer. Just looks like some of the normal plumbing for the head.
