Large Scale Central

slowly adding more details to my UK side of my railway

A few additions to the UK style of my dual theme railway(other have is USA style logging). Added the UK style signal(the remaining LGB one will go away soon), new station and platforms built from IP Engineering laser cut wood kits. I water sealed them and painted before putting them on the railway. The wall lights came from the doll house isle at the local Hobby Lobby store. I will put down roof shingles under all of this area so I can ballest the track and get some moss to grow to give this area more of a UK feel. This portion is under a large tree and in the shade nearly all day during the summer time, so moss does well here. Its also in the lee of the house and shielded from the worst of the winter wind. Well that’s a hell of a theme, UK vs USA logging. If you haul logs with one of those ugly round windowed locos with those stupid little round bumpers on the front then we cant be friends anymore.

Nope, I have one UK engine, The Earl from the Welshpool & LLanfair along with proper rolling stock for him. Logging duties are assigned to either the 0-4-0 Pearse Switcher or the just aquired Aster 3 truck Climax pulling LGB disconnect logging cars.

Actually, the UK narrow gauge used single buffer/coupling devices, so no round buffers. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

I run mine with improper rolling stock.

They hauled freight at one time! Looks good to me, as long as your running them and enjoying them, rule 8 applies! Mike
