Slow reacting website

Bob, All day, the wesite has been acting real sluggish here, and numerous times, I get a ““can not locate”” window when moving from one topic to another…

Not sure if you are working on things, or what… I’ve tried the website from 2 sources, and get the same sluggish action… AOL & IE…

It’s slower than usual here too on Firefox with a very fast cable connection. Haven’t seen any error messages though.

Yes, it’s been sluggish here too. Although I noticed yesterday already it seemed slow.

Rooster…it’s so much nicer now that you’ve joined the club

Yep, there was an issue yesterday, going into the evening, with a stuck process running on the server. All better now, and I have an alert for when that happens again.

Bob, not sure what’s happening, but it’s still happening on this end… I’m getting an website not found error, when I click the ““Forums”” at the top of a forum topic i’m reading…

Now you broke it Andy.

(BTW working fine on my end)

Not fixed on my end. Slow, slow slow.

Checked on my wife’s Mac, same thing.

6:07 PST

It’s worse than ever. 90 seconds to load the main page and 45 seconds to load the forums.

My old dial up was faster!

It isn’t my puter, cable, modem or router: all the other sites are zip, zip, zip.

It’s reeeeely bad.

Sorry, Bob, I normally don’t complain.

If I go to LSC on aol anymore, and try to get into forums, all it tells me is ::website cannot be found;;

Actually the forums are very slow on my end as well. 3 different computers with 2 different servers(or IP’s) 2 running firefox and 1 Chrome all are clean. Not complaining only reporting

Very odd.

For me, it’s much better than it was the other day. I wouldn’t call it zippy. But it’s usable and not annoying

Just crashed on me when navigating back to the forum list from this forum.

Yes, For the first time it is really slow for me, I mean really slow.

at 4:30 PST

Yeah, Jon, I got the same in chat

The Forums page took 58 sec to load. ??? to open a second Forums copy took 29 sec ??? to switch from any page back to the main Forums page took 9 sec ??? Hmmmmm

Looks to me that the main Forums page has a bit of a hang-up.

Yes, the main forum page is slow. Home page a bit slow too. 20-30 seconds here.

Replies seem a little slow to upload too.

I’ve disabled the main forum page “Which forum has new messages?” code, as that seems to be the a major slowness culprit. You’ll have to pay attention to the last post date on the right hand side until I can figure it out.

Ah Ha, so that’s why I wasn’t seeing the green crosses on the main forum page…but it does seem faster.
