Slate Creek: Actually running trains ...

A quick clip from the weekend’s festivities … where it wasn’t all about work and building, but actually running trains – something I should really do more often.

Here, SCRY chief civil engineer Paul Weiss takes #9 for a spin. (and no, I wouldn’t put a sound system on a live steamer… #6 is also running, and can be heard in the background!)

Cool Matt, glad to see you’ve got some help with the ROW work and Play

Live steam in the basement! Cool!! Good to see ya running, wish I could. Yesterday we got 5 more inches of snow, the wet heavy stuff you can’t plow. the real problem is it’s adding to the wetness of my backyard so I can’t walk out there.

Was there once and yes it was fun and very interesting. Most building in the are have slate roofs. And they are long lasting, only problem is that the wood framing holding up the roof sags over the years! I remember one sagging roof in a small town we spent the night in in Wales.

Wow, a real plume. And Stack-talk, even!

I don’t get that from my sparkies
