Large Scale Central

Skeleton Log Cars

Been working on these the last week or so. The are strictly the 10’ rule. Just waiting for some 8.5 links/inch chain from Ozark for the stakes.

Nice build Randy!! It looks like the drawings went to some great ends.

Whose trucks and couplers are you using??

Bob C.

Nice looking log cars. You can send them my way as well.

Bob, those are accucraft trucks and couplers. BTW thanks for the plans and as you can see I took a little leeway on building my own

They look a heck of a lot better than “10 feet”!

I’m a sucker for logging equipment.

Randy,

That is what a logging outfit does. Make what others do fit their own needs. Great build!

Someday I will complete the 5 I started a year or so ago.

The guys have a nice stand they are in the process of cutting down. More then they need. How many logs you need and how long?

Very nice and very well made. Quite impressive workmanship!

Well I finally got these finished this afternoon. At least finished enough for me. Now just have to send them on interchange service to Jersey for a load of logs.

Nice work Randy. They look good even on top that trestle.

Thanks guys, it was a fun build. Hollywood as to the trestle, as soon as Fred sends me some code 215 rail the bridge crew will get the guard rails installed.

Excellent!
