A simple train tote I threw together on a Sunday afternoon. Two dados cut into a scrap piece of 32"x 7"x 3/4" ash flooring, side walls from a recycled hamster cage lid, a scrap piece of cherry for the one end and 1/2" plywood ramp with dados and jewelry box hinges with a eye and hood catch for the other. A 5/8" oak dowel for a handle pinned to the 1/2" plywood ends. I may “pretty it up” a bit and scrounge some foam rubber to lock the equipment in place along with some Velcro straps. Nothing fancy.

I agree, I need one like that for my Annie bash which is just about done but is now a little more delicate and would not appreciate too many 0-5-0 shunts…
