Signing in

Hey folks I have a bit of a problem.
I can sign into LSC with IE but not with Firefox.
Any ideas please?

Have you tried a re-boot? Occam’s razor.

Did that Steve. No luck.
Also tried resetting password etc.
Makes no difference. I can log into LSC with IE8, but not with Firefox 24.
Firefox works eveything else OK.

Also whilst I am on about it, Bob, how about making the site more I Phone friendly please.

Also, would it be possible to make the “last post” link into a jump to “first unread” link like Bachmann and others do?

Hmmmmmmmm… I use FF 24 without any problems. Maybe things get flummoxed crossing the equator.

i’m on FF 2.4 right now. The only problem I ad a few weeks ago was with audio on another website. Firefox wasn’t playing nice with Adobe. They apparently settled their differences.

I too have no problem with FF

Clear your cookies and history

Thanks Greg.
All cleared after every time I use IE and FF.

Still cannot log in with FF. IE is fine.

Cookies and Javascript enabled? Any browser extensions or toolbars?

save your bookmarks, uninstall firefox and reinstall

be sure you have flash for firefox installed (go to the adobe site USING firefox)

update your java

if that does not work, contact me on the weekend, I’ll hook into your computer and fix it in front of your eyes, it must be something weird.

I assume you have a relatively fast internet connection?

email me privately to set this up.

Regards, Greg

Thanks Greg.

Thanks for the offer.
I have only just got this computer back from having it de-infected which included a full re-install of the IE and FF browsers. Java was updated too.
It was apparently me updating the FF that got me the virus in the first place. The computer shut down half way through because it is basically worn out and overheating.
I can live with the problem for now as within a week or so I will be replacing this 5 yo XP SP3 machine with a recommended W8 machine that will have W7 installed instead.

One question. How does one save (or export) the bookmarks?

Thanks also Bob.
Cookies and Java enabled. I don’t know what you mean by browser extensions.

I also have a problem with the ftp uploader on my website that cannot be fixed until the webmaster gets home from a holiday in Mexico in a couple of weeks. I have no idea even where to start.

firefox, go to menu, you will see bookmarks, go to show all bookmarks, now you can find a menu to export bookmarks to html… do it that way… save that file, it will import to ff or ie.
