Shuttles

Hello, I’m a newbee. What is a shuttle? how do you use it.

Steve;

I don’t know what context the word “Shuttle” was used in; but it could be described as a form of transport that “Shuttles” back and forth over a short route; somewhat like a street car, or the rail vehicle at Tampa Aerodrome, from one part of the complex to another.

Some GR people use street cars or Eggliners, in a constant back and forth action on a long length of track. They could be described as a “Shuttle”.

By the way; a while back I tried to “Hatch” a half dozen “Eggliners”, without much success…has anyone else tried it lately ? …!!!

Sorry, shuttles is used by LGB to describe some track. the eggliner must be it

LGB has (or had) an automatic shuttle device with a timer that lets you “shuttle” a streetcar, loco or other track powered device back-and-forth, as you desire.
Mebbe that’s it.

Thanks for the information, I now understand
