My photo did not upload…why?
John: see my answer to Dick’s similar problem further up on this page; that’s the usual problem right there. It’s all in the name. Wot’s pethia? Greek to me!
I have a Kalamazoo Christmas set I got from a buddy a couple of years ago . Runs nice and quiet, so passes the wife’s ‘ear’ test. Nice heavy engine runs well.

My wife says the same thing. Thomas train she says is too noisy but the Kalamazoo is much quieter. I use to drive her nuts when I would run my old 1952 Lionel set with the metal engine and metal gears. Lol
My wife got me a couple of USA Christmas cars a few years back. I ran battery powered lights over them. Once car is a Kalamazoo car.

As it gets close to Christmas, We will be abandoning the spurs and back to just the mainline…Travis
Not sure where the main line is… ha ha ha ha Looks like a fun train run and see where it comes out at.
Noel, It started out as a simple loop around the tree…lol

I’ve got a picture from last Christmas in my freight shed, but don’t know how to get it here
Dick, If it is in your freight shed, then all you have to do is put the URL (link to the picture) into the post. (As John said, but without the southern accent.) If you click on ‘My Files’ it will open the window to your freight shed. Find the picture and click on it - your computer will ask if you want to allow access to the clipboard. Allow it, and then go back to your message and put the cursor where you want the pic. Type Ctrl-V (= Paste.) Here’s my static display from 2008. The FRR loco is in Florida, so it hasn’t appeared around the tree for a couple of years - guess it might this year.

My old bachmann track finally died
Anyone have a 4’ circle of brass track and 4 1’ straights they wanna sell cheap?
What it’d cost to send that down to you from up here, unfortunately, is as much as the track is worth.
Ask me how I know this… most of my track came up here by mail from the USA…
Geeze, Terry, I hope you find what you’re looking for nearby, where you can pick it up in person.
Belong to a club?

Richard. Another way to show photo is click on Freight Sheds. "it will show your files " Fine a photo and right click and hit copy shorcut. Go back to your post and paste it. that how mine works. This is not Amtrack, but…

Wish I could ride a train all of the time like someone I know does. LoL
Terry: you could replace the B’mann track fairly cheaply here, FWIW.
I actually like this track for my setups at shows bacause it’s lightweight. So far I haven’t had it ‘die’ on me. I use Brass and SS in the backyard, though. The newer Bachmann tinplate track has plastic shields over the rail joiners, and the steel insert is tapered - the railjoints are stronger and easier now than they used to be. Old and new are mutually compatible.
I have developed a method of making straight B’mann track out of the curves, BTW… so don’t be too quick to toss your dead track out!
Did you see what that dude is asking for shipping??? What a thief! I hope no one falls for his scheme.
Joe - That link was to eBay Canada. Shipping from the US to Canada is hugely expensive. Look at the same item on US eBay (#140897865381) and the shipping is $15.
I did not realize it was Canada shipping. $15 to US is more like it.
Joe Zullo said:... and practically all our stuff has to come up that way, Joe. On top of that, we pay a 13% tax when it arrives at the door, and on top of THAT, the Post Office adds a 'service charge' of an additional $10.00 for collecting the tax from us. No kidding.

Oh, and those ‘free shipping’ deals you sometimes get Stateside? They never apply to shipments coming here… to read about them makes me weep.
Glad I’m not down under, though; the situation is even worse for Aussies and Kiwis.
John,
I feel very sorry for your situation up there neighbor!
Noel I see nothing when I go to freight sheds. Got to be more to it. Later RJD
