I have always noticed that guys post all over the place. So where do we post engine topics? I’m waiting for my new Dash 8s to arrive and would like to post some pics of the older MTH ones here too.
Joe, aren’t most of us here loco?
I know I am. Nice of U to point that out!!!
I asked that long ago. I would like a separate forum for locos too.
Greg
Why not change the title to “Rolling Stock and Locomotives” ?
Q. What is the definition of “rolling stock?”
A. Rolling stock is defined in the Buy America regulations (49 CFR Part 661.3) as: “transit vehicles such as buses, vans, cars, railcars, locomotives, trolley cars and buses, and ferry boats, as well as vehicles used for support services.”
According to this section of the Code of Federal Regulations, locomotives ARE rolling stock.
/me waves hands around
Done. Let me know other threads to move in here…
you can move my gp30c thread from rolling stock here, lol
All these years I’ve put all my modeling in the modeling forum. I guess that was wrong? What’s supposed to go there?
Anyway, here’s some of my locomotives:
- A 1:20 Ten Wheeler
- Bruce’s Boxcab
- Jackson & Burke - new motorcar
- The Return of the Ten Wheeler
- Building a 1:20 Mikado
- A Brass Critter
Should I move my modeling rolling stock threads from modeling to rolling stock?
The locomotive forum is a good idea, however, why did the Bachmann big hauler bash get put in locomotives??? All I see in that topic is talk about passenger cars, not the locomotive…
I’d keep any existing stuff where it is and just place any new stuff here. You could provide links for the other stuff rather then move the whole shebang. Just my thoughts, but hey, I’m lazy…

Wherever they were Bruce I am pretty certain that I have seen them and certainly appreciated reading about them.
Uh oh. Me bad.
I think I started it now…
Don’t move nothin’.
Just wondering out loud.
Awe shoot. This is a new heading…
Whoo hoo Bob!
I think this will be great, we might even start some threads on disassembly or repairs of locos, especially ones that there are few parts for or have some “fixes”.
Thanks Bob!
