We got a call a couple days ago from teh contractor who, last winter, reworked our living room. He said he was ready to start on our basement project, which we’d vaguely discussed back then. Would involve new paint, some flooring, cabinet doors, and misc. repairs. so, we said yes.
Was in firm denial until they showed up this morning, and that’s when (with my wife’s help) it dawned on me that I’d need to clear all the walls. Including those for my “Pullman bathroom” and 1aux bedroom / study, which are (were) simply packed with antique do-dads, books, framed stuff, you name it. With Linda’s help on the book packing, we got all the loose stuff out, and into the laser room.
Except the trains. Here’s two of the three walls of trains I need to move in the AM, asap.
As you can see, the demo is proceeding quickly.
I was looking forward to a quite weekend…
