Shay with GREAT plumes

Ran my shay today(made it years ago). Nice still/cool/damp morning, hard to pass up! Had a blocked jet the last time, so after I blew it out I put a piece of cotton in, as some have advised in the past. Gas flows through but any particles get trapped by the cotton. I put in in my live steam Mikado also. Video link below the pictures.

Leaving the tunnel, the gray ape goes ape.

Just off the metal bridge, going by North Station.

Heading towards Thyme Hill. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIkSNMCVpKw

Still, cool, damp morning? This time of year? How wonderful. Great pictures! Glad your engine is running good again.

Jerry I love it. That box car would look real nice on the KMRR

Supposed to be hot today. I want to get the Buick out and see if it runs okay in hot weather. Car show next weekend.

Shawn, I made the box car from a picture I saw in Outdoor Railroader years ago(well, car was made many years ago also!) I liked that it had the wide planks, and the sag. I used redwood that I aged with ink(I think). Has Hartford trucks and some Ozark door stuff.

Beeeeyootiful stuff, Jerry!! Did my old heart good to see it…

Best wishes from tac & famb in Oregon
