My tasks were finally caught up on the home front, so it was time to run some trains and test a recent acquisition for the P.B.R.R. The overtasked 10 wheelers were running short consists in the western rockies and a shay was in order to support the recent addition of a timber operation in the foothills. This particular run required the shay to pull a bit of double duty tugging both the logs for the mill and a pair of mine cars for the Bramwell Mine, as well as a couple of P.B.R.R. box cars. The number 113 Logging caboose finished off this consist. The 2 truck definitely lived up to its reputation.

Nice pics!

I am still struggling with the camera, but would rather run trains than read the manual for it.
Nice,
Looks like you’re having some great weather too.

Very nice, I like the camera work.
Looking like Spring and nice photos of the railroad.
Looks good Don. I bet it feels good to finally run trains after having to wait so long. Pictures look good. All my shots are done from the auto setting. The key is to shoot at ground level and just take a bunch of shots. The nice thing with digial is you can take a hundred shots at different angles and then pic the best. Sometimes I will have 50 pictures and keep maybe 5 shots that are good.
Enjoy the railroad, forget the manuals… Nice shots & railroad…
See the Shay’s not even breathing hard!
