Hi all,
We had our first run day/open railroad since 2019 this weekend. Over the 2 afternoons we had about 70 friends and family visit. We were lucky to have a good friend volunteer to come both days and run trains and answer visitors questions. It worked well as he handled one end of the railroad while I was at the other end. Even luckier my B-i-L came up and shot a video of the railroad while it was “all dressed up”.

Nice video. Terrific railroad! I’ve seen the bits and pieces of it get built but it is great to see it with trains going by. Nice!

Did you also acquire sections of the Port Orford Coast layout, or is all that new build?

I have 3 buildings besides the bridge that Dick wanted me to try to save/rebuild. The only one redone so far is the inclosed water tank shown at 1:23 and 2:48 in the video. I did a small build thread a while back about refurbishing it. Of the other 2 buildings maybe one of them is salvageable the other not so much. But they are on the to do list for this coming winter, we will see what happens with them.
