Large Scale Central

Severe Weather - Made It Back Home Okay

Hope all the large-scalers in the midwest came through last night’s storms okay. I went to the SLANG meet in Saint Louis this weekend. It was beautiful up there there on Friday and Saturday. The trip back home on Sunday wasn’t quite as nice. Ran into the severe stuff about the time I came through Joplin, MO and got caught in the hail about the time I passed the Baxter Springs, KS exit. From there down to Miami, OK was a bit exciting. By the time I went through Tulsa it was all behind me. Didn’t realize how bad it was until I got home and turned on the TV. By the way, I took the repair shop model to the meet. I had visions of losing it in a tornado on the interstate after working on it for a year, but it survived the 1000 mile round trip without incident. Can’t say the same for the rental SUV I was driving. The windshield is cracked and it looks like someone took out their frustrations on the sheet metal with a ball peen hammer.

Bob

I’ll take the shaking ground anytime compared to tornado’s and golfball hail.

:open_mouth:

Amen Vic. In NE Ohio we get snow. I’ll shovel it all day long vs. a tornado.
Glad you made it safe Bob.

Terry

I can always put on another sweater. Glad you’re safe.

Glad to hear you’re in one piece! Also that it was a Rental!

Missed it all here. Spent the day in Coweta where it was partly cloudy and windy.

It snows in Syracuse. big deal. no big tornados. hurricanes, earthquakes, or droughts, you guys have weather worth moving away from, that stuff is trying to wipe you off the planet

Glad your ok

Them squiggly things that come out of dark clouds ain’t no fun… Been chased by them in Central Kansas. Did out run it but it was scary…

Glad you made it home with no more than the hail damage, Bob…

There’s is more loss of life reported in Alabama and Southern Mississippi…

Seems they really got hit this time.
