Service

I was confused when I heard the word “Service” used with these agencies:

Internal Revenue ‘Service’
U.S. Postal ‘Service’
Telephone ‘Service’
Cable TV ‘Service’
Civil ‘Service’
State, City, County & Public ‘Service’
Customer ‘Service’

This is not what I thought ‘Service’ meant.

But today, I overheard two farmers talking, and one of them said he had hired a bull to ‘Service’ a few cows.

BAM!!! It all came into focus. Now I understand what all those agencies mean by using “Service” in their agency names.

You are now as enlightened as I am.

Steve,

I do believe you’ve got it!!!

Sort of goes along with those letters or notices that begin with “In order to serve you better”.

I could just imagine what would happen if I told my wife I wanted serviced
Then again, she might find it ammusing.
Ya right. The odds of winning the Powerball are much better =(
Ralph

I was in the ‘service’. And I felt the same as that cow when I was done.

Not even a cigarette afterwards.

They Probably did not give you a smoke because smoking is bad for your health. They were just looking out for you.
