Very cool. Of course, I like the idle the best - that sound would be pretty cool in a gas critter without the turbine whine (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
could be for diesels, where the rpm notches… that would work with separate wav files.
steam would be an issue, you need a dsp for that.
