Do any of you who owns a USA Trains SD70 MAC have a problem with the rear hook and loop coupler sticking so that it won’t swing freely around curves, and so that it hangs up and causes the trailing car to derail? What have you done to solve the problem? Is my problem that I am running the loco around 8’ diameter curves, too tight for it to swing far enough, because I don’t get a derail on wider radius curves. Ideas? Opinions?
You could open up the coupler opening a little on the loco to allow more swing with the coupler, but to be honest that’s just too long of a loco
to try and squeeze it around a 8ft curve with all that over hang to deal with.
