The Rail Zeppelin.
The New York Central tested a jet powered version. Turn off the sound for this video (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif)
Thats a heck of a doodlebug. I have some model rocket engines…hmmmm.
I have the Schilling clockwork O gauge tinplate model of the Rail Zeppelin, be neat to have in LS but the Marklin version is crazy expensive.
Here’s a picture of a pretty good model of the subject car that a friend of mine built. It was quite a performer. Problem was, his remote speed controller only had an on and an off setting. I don’t have to say that it was a speed demon with a 4 prop blade.
Doc Watson
So he actually built it prop driven??? thats cool. Did he use RC plane equipment?
No, he actually used a R/C car ESC with stick transmitter.
